What started as a single gift grew into something much larger: a warm, functional home designed with intention, where every member of the family feels seen and considered.
What began as a 2020 Christmas gift—a thoughtful gesture from husband to wife—blossomed into a full-scale transformation for a family of five. The space had great potential but was challenging: awkwardly placed columns and a cold, open layout made it hard to feel grounded or connected. Once we began space planning, it became clear why they came to us.
The first move was both subtle and strategic: building a temporary wall in an underutilized corner of the unit, which gave shape to a longer, more defined Entry Hall. This new entry experience set the tone for the home, with a gallery wall of warm, personal family photos welcoming you in. From there, the open Living and Dining area unfolds—layered in olive and cognac tones, anchored by large-scale artwork that draws the eye upward to take in the soaring ceilings. A cozy living room nook, once disconnected and difficult to define, is now wrapped in rich peel-and-stick wallpaper by Forbes + Masters, adding texture, mood, and intimacy.
We rounded out the space with thoughtful finishing touches: counter stools that echo the palette, and a small, curated vignette near the entrance—a perfect place for keys, mail, or one last look before heading out the door.
