After years of using this home as a secondary residence, we resurrected our clients’ dining room with a renewed sense of glamour. Elevated and ready for memorable family gatherings.
We began by adding architectural detail through shaker-style wainscoting to ground the space and give the previously bare walls a sense of intention. From there, we introduced a gilded Schumacher wallpaper and a Portola Paints Roman Clay finish to the ceiling, creating a subtle, luminous sheen overhead. To add texture and sophistication underfoot, we removed the wall-to-wall carpet and replaced it with a patterned sisal rug.
The room is anchored by a striking onyx table that warms the moody palette, paired with plush dining chairs and a gilded sputnik-style light fixture that layers in both warmth and romanticism.
