The entry opened directly into the living room, making it the first impression of the home. We stained the floors and staircase a rich, dark tone to create visual continuity and add depth from the moment you walk in. In the living room, we prioritized comfort and flow with family-friendly seating that invites connection.
For this young family of four, moving into their first home came with excitement—and the realization that they needed help making it feel like theirs. It was their first time working with a designer, and together, we shaped a space that felt both warm and functional.
In the dining room, we kept the client's beloved chandelier—a sentimental piece—and let it guide the design for the rest of the space. At the back of the house, where an awkward nook once sat unused, we built a custom window bench to create a quiet moment: perfect for coffee, reading, or simply taking in the view. The result is a thoughtful, grounded home—designed for everyday living and the memories just beginning to unfold.
